WWE RAW - June 13, 2016
Random Thoughts and Opinions
Appropriate beginning to the show with a moment of silence for the victims of the tragedy in Orlando.
How big are the lifts in Xavier Wood’s boots?
Good opening segment with the tag team division getting major rub. Enzo and Cass carried that segment on the mic. Great heel heat on the Vaudevillians spoiling the verbal battle between Xavier Woods and Enzo Amore. Gallows and Anderson didn't come off as well as the other three teams on the mic, I'd rather see them play the serious, ass kicking role, but all in all a very good start to the show.
Could've gone without Big E slapping Simon Gotch’s ass, but that was a very good 8-man tag match. I'd like to see the Vaudevillians lose the comedy in their act. I might be in the minority but I see money in them. WWE was smart giving Gallows the pin. Anything that makes them look as strong as possible is smart booking in my opinion.
Make Darren Young great again...you're losing me.
Kane's back! I like the idea of Kane running one of the shows much more than Shane or Stephanie.
Sheamus should shave his head completely bald.
Did I miss something? What did Titus O’Neil do to deserve a U.S. Title match? Excellent beat down of Titus by Rusev. I will be hugely disappointed if Rusev loses to O’Neil at Money in the Bank.
I don't consider A.J. Styles “New Era” as Ambrose implies.
More cheers than boos for Seth Rollins.
Way more boos than cheers for Roman Reigns.
The Ambrose Asylum with Reigns and Rollins was fantastic. All three former Shield members were good, but Rollins killed it. Dean Ambrose struck a perfect balance between wacky Dean and serious Dean. I loved him standing tall to end the segment.
Dean Ambrose vs. Chris Jericho? Seriously? Again?
No ring entrances for Paige or The WWE Women's Champion?!? I'm happy to see Paige on RAW. Natalya and Becky Lynch are a distraction on commentary. So now Paige has two victories over Charlotte, yet no push. Ughhh
The women's division is a mess.
Sheamus vs. Apollo Crews, eh.
Chris Jericho vs. Dean Ambrose, Sami Zayn vs. Cesaro and Kevin Owens teaming with Alberto Del Rio. Money in the Bank can't get here fast enough so we can move onto new match ups and stories.
Really good match between Zayn and Cesaro as expected.
Ahh, the contract signing time filler segment. Is it really necessary for WWE to tell us John Cena vs. A.J. Styles is a WrestleMania worthy match?
Cena with a good promo putting Styles over huge.
Did Cena call Styles an “Indy dude?”
Wow, that was fantastic mic work from both Styles and Cena! Styles is a completely different guy on the mic since turning heel. Last week I felt Cena got the better of Styles, but this week A.J. stood his ground and brought it in a big way. That was so good their feud is overshadowing everything else on the Money in the Bank show.
Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho are the most entertaining wrestlers on WWE TV.
The Lucha Dragons vs. Owens and Del Rio was an entertaining match even though the outcome was never in doubt.
Please make Stephanie and Shane go away. Terrible.
Pretty cool visual with all the ladders set up around the entrance ramp.
A decent match between Ambrose and Jericho. The outcome of the match didn't mean anything. In fact, aside from the Lucha Dragons vs. Owens and Del Rio none of the matches meant anything.
WWE really needs to get through Money in the Bank and create new feuds and storylines. I don't think I could take another week of the Money in the Bank competitors either teaming together or wrestling each other.
WWE has done a fantastic job with the Cena and Styles feud. Tonight's segment between the two was a big hit and it's the match I'm most looking forward to.
Tonight's episode was a solid thumbs up for this viewer.
