Random Thoughts and Opinions
Good move by WWE starting the show off with Enzo & Cass and the 4-Way Tag Match.
Xavier Woods got some ohh’s and ahh’s from his Elite Team comment.
WWE is really going out of their way to protect Cass.
That was a scary dive through the ropes by Big E.
An entertaining match with a few timing issues. I think WWE is protecting Cass too much, but I understand why. The right team went over, and it was obvious the Vaudevillians were taking the pin. Not quite sure where the Vaudevillians go from here. A feud with Enzo & Cass makes sense considering the injury to Enzo. Hopefully we see The Club feud with New Day starting tomorrow night on RAW.
Personally I find Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho hilarious.
I'm sorry, but I just can't get invested in another Baron Corbin vs. Dolph Ziggler match. Ziggler worked hard, but Corbin still needs a lot of work.
Why was Charlotte and Dana Brooke out first?
Not a fan of Dana Brooke. I didn't see the Nattie turn coming so kudos to WWE. It makes sense to turn her heel if the plan is to bring Sasha Banks onto the main roster. Nice crowd reaction for Becky Lynch after selling the beat down.
With Sheamus vs. Apollo Crews up now, this’ll be three basic RAW matches in a row.
I guess beating Sheamus helps Crews, but I still have no idea where they go with both guys. I assume this isn't the last time we get this match.
Great atmosphere for the start of Cena vs. Styles. The crowd definitely woke up from their naps.
Great psychology to this match.
Brilliant match, AJ Styles might be the best wrestler on the planet. I don't mind the fact WWE ignored another stipulation with Gallows and Anderson coming to the ring because it fits the story they're telling. Chapter 2 should be at Battleground where Styles takes the loss even with his fellow Club members interfering for him. The blow off coming at SummerSlam in a cage or Hell in a Cell with Styles winning the series.
Excellent Money in the Bank match. Great execution throughout. There were more than a few dangerous spots. All involved worked really hard. I didn't think Ambrose would win because I thought it was too obvious. Now that he has the Money in the Bank contract, I think there's a chance he cashes in tonight.
Poor Rusev and Titus, having to follow the ladder match. This used to be the spot dedicated to the divas. I liked the match only because I'm a big fan of Rusev. That said, Titus O’Neil just doesn't have it, both as a character and in ring skills.
The best part was Rusev telling O'Neil’s kids their dad is a loser. Classic.
A double turn would be splendid here in the main event.
Let's go Rollins chants.
Rollins is fantastic in the ring, it will be a crime if we never get a Rollins vs. Styles feud.
Of all of Reigns’ high profile matches I think this is his worst, and it's not Rollins fault. Reigns vs. Daniel Bryan, Brock Lesnar and AJ Styles were all better matches. Actually this match is slightly better than his WrestleMania match against Triple H.
Two ref bumps tonight?
Rollins turning the spear into a pedigree was tremendous.
The crowd blew the roof off of the building when the ref counted 3 to end Reigns’ championship run.
And here's Ambrose!
Great ending to the show.
All in all I give the show a solid B. The MITB Ladder Match, Styles vs. Cena and the main event carried the show. I was disappointed in the undercard matches though. Not on of those matches was anything better than what you'd see on RAW on any given week.
AJ Styles vs. John Cena was the match of the night followed by the Ladder Match and then the main event.
Tomorrow night’s RAW now becomes must see TV.
The Club vs. the Vaudevillians vs. New Day vs. Enzo & Cass
AJ Styles vs. John Cena
Money in the Bank Ladder Match
Rusev vs. Titus O’Neil
Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins with Dean Ambrose cashing in MITB
Baron Corbin vs. Dolph Ziggler
Charlotte & Dana Brooke vs. Becky Lynch & Natalya
Sheamus vs. Apollo Crews
