Although GSP has said he can get down to 155, I think he’s better suited at 170, or even 185. A fight against McGregor would also prevent the winner of the Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Tony Ferguson fight getting the more deserving title shot. While a McGregor vs. GSP fight would do massive numbers, there are other options I like better for him. Which brings us to the fight I’d like to see most: GSP vs. Tyron Woodley. Woodley is scheduled to fight Stephen Thompson at UFC 209. If Woodley retains, then it sets up GSP for a shot at the UFC Welterweight Title. Should he drop the belt, then it’s a fight I think should still be made, with the winner becoming the no. 1 contender. The following are several fighters I’d also like to see GSP go up against: David Branch, Dong Hyun Kim, Robert Whittaker, and Jacare Souza. There are two fights that seem to be popular that I don’t have much interest in: GSP vs. Nick Diaz and GSP vs. Damien Maia. A win against Diaz does nothing for him and a fight against Maia stylistically won’t make for an exciting fight.
