TNA IMPACT WRESTLING - March 22, 2016
Random Thoughts and Opinions
I came into this week’s show a bit skeptical. It's not that I don't think Drew Galloway will make a good TNA World Champion, I just feel it was too early to take the belt off of Matt Hardy. In my opinion this has been Hardy’s best work of his career.
Now that Hardy doesn't have the TNA World Title, I hope he is kept in the main event. Aside from Galloway, the focus has to remain on Hardy due to his stellar performances.
Crowd responded well to Drew Galloway as the new TNA Heavyweight Champion.
Matt Hardy is by far the best thing going on Impact right now. He delivers week after week. The verbal confrontation between Hardy and Galloway was well done. While I think it was a mistake to take the belt off of Matt Hardy, Drew Galloway will play the fighting babyface champion well.
Although there were a lot of players involved, the Gauntlet Match was set up well. Small doses of Dixie Carter works.
Didn't like seeing a member of Decay take another loss. They've already taken too many losses.
This heel Lashley works.
Shouldn't viewers know what numbers are being pulled in the backstage segments?
The breakup of the Dollhouse was just painful to watch. That said, it was definitely time and Jade is the right one to feature going forward.
Nothing about Grado is entertaining.
“No more talking.”
TNA Gauntlet Match > WWE Royal Rumble.
So we have Jeff Hardy as the #1 Contender taking on Drew Galloway for the TNA World Championship. Eventually they have to go back to Hardy vs. Hardy, which I think happens sooner rather than later. It looks like we’ll see ECIII feud with “The Miracle” Mike Bennett. That leaves Lashley to feud with...Pope?
All in all not a bad episode of Impact, but definitely a step down from the last couple of weeks.
What are your thoughts?
